Where can we engrave?
Most popular: the front border of the board, or the storage box.
Also possible: the side border, a corner square, or the top of the rooks.
Every set is different. We'll confirm what suits yours when we send your proof.
The underside usually can't be engraved. Most boards and pieces are covered in felt there.

A travel set that looks like furniture. Dark acacia and light maple squares, built to survive a train, a plane or a grandchild. Pick the size that suits the trip, from pocket-sized to one grand enough for the coffee table.
- Magnets hold each piece to its square, so a bumped board keeps its game
- Slim when shut, so it slips into a drawer or onto a shelf
- A soft lined slot for every piece, so each one travels snug
Best for travel, from family holidays to the chess players who are always on the road.

Purchased the 18mm Noir set which arrived in a timely manner via Auspost. The set is extremely well crafted to a top quality standard. Thanks chessworld.
This is exactly the chess set I needed. I have grandkids that I want to teach chess and the magnetic board is perfect for little fingers. The pieces are nice looking and sturdy. And I like that every piece has a place inside. And I'd just like to say that I now win all my games on this board. (I'd like to say that but it wouldn't be true.)
I bought this set to take camping and its perfect. Good size with quality pieces - I would recommend.
Even more beautiful in reality, very compact and travel friendly.
I'm very pleased with the quality of this chess set. The magnets are just the right strength, the build quality and finish of the board as well as the pieces are spot on.
Packaging and postage by chessworld was very quick too and love the personal touch they added with the parcel. Very thoughtful and genuine.
Such a great board been taking it to the pub and in my everyday bag. Super convenient, essentially fits in my back pocket!!
I ordered 5 of these chess sets for our school library as they looked durable and smart. I was particularly interested in the fact that they were magnetic because our current chess sets aren't and we keep losing pieces. I am very impressed with the chess set and the students are enjoying using them. The price was very good for the quality of the product and I will definitely purchase more of them in the future.
Just recently brought this around to a picnic, and when I’m at a friend’s. Magnetic design is great when on any surface angle and the flush appearance open and closed makes it look great.
Exceptionally well made chess set. Great size for traveling. Well packaged and quick delivery. I highly recommend Chess World for all your chess needs.
Very pleased with the travel chess set. Received within 3 business days, great quality, magnets work well.
A well made and compact chess set.
Perfect. Lovely handiwork. Great travelling companion.
I've been looking for a chess set like this for a long time. The design is simple but very pretty. The board quality is amazing - feels nice to touch and the timber actually has a very pleasant smell! Chess pieces are exactly what I had been looking for - simple and classy! Love the magnetic board, makes is so much easier to use! Overall great product, I highly recommend it!
Beautiful board, very nice to use.
Just right for burning the midnight oil in bed., the pieces are more than adequate and the magnets actually work. Very efficient delivery of product within 2 days, I’m more than happy and would definitely recommend purchasing through Chess World.
Good quality chess board. One of the piece's felt undersides is coming off a touch, but happy with the product overall. Would recommend.
