This is exactly the chess set I needed. I have grandkids that I want to teach chess and the magnetic board is perfect for little fingers. The pieces are nice looking and sturdy. And I like that every piece has a place inside. And I'd just like to say that I now win all my games on this board. (I'd like to say that but it wouldn't be true.)

I ordered 5 of these chess sets for our school library as they looked durable and smart. I was particularly interested in the fact that they were magnetic because our current chess sets aren't and we keep losing pieces. I've been looking for a chess set like this for a long time. The design is simple but very pretty. The board quality is amazing - feels nice to touch and the timber actually has a very pleasant smell! Chess pieces are exactly what I had been looking for - simple and classy! Good quality chess board. One of the piece's felt undersides is coming off a touch, but happy with the product overall. Would recommend.
