My teen son chose this set as a gift. It was unfortunate the clock was sold out and on pre-order only, and it wouldn't have arrived on time so had to source it from elsewhere. He is however very happy with the set and takes it with him to all social events. He likes that the board is vinyl and really enjoys playing with the double weighted pieces. So far so good ?

I bought this set as a full competition size travel practice set. Accordingly, I chose the traditional black and white board and single weighted pieces as it looks the same as more expensive options. This combination is the best combination if you are setting up or adding to a chess club on minimum funds. The best surprise about this package is the box it comes in which provides good storage and protection of the roll up board and pieces. If you can afford the extra for double weighted pieces and a silicon board do so (see my review for this option) as the playing feel is clearly superior and worth it. Out of the box, the silicon board so far is behaving and can be unrolled to sit flat.

I bought this set as I want to get back into learning chess, and I'm very impressed with it! The board and pieces are well made and durable, and the double weighted pieces are satisfying to move around the board. I'm enjoying playing and learning, and my daughter has started to show interest in learning too. I imagine we will get a lot of use out of this set!

It was a great chess board for someone who loves the game the pieces for double weighted are totally worth it! Great board highly recommend!

I bought the double weight pieces in the set with the clock for my son and we all love playing with it. The clock took some instruction reading to figure it out but works well once you know how. It all fits in the gift box well ready for travel. I’ll probably put the chess pieces in a proper zip up or drawstring bag as they just came in a plastic zip lock bag but that should be easy to work out. A proper bag/s would be a good add on option to offer in this set. Came faster than expected too and in time for Christmas even though it was a last minute purchase.

My chess set arrived promptly, packaged very well. The sey looks well made and I'm looking forward to many great games.

This is a great portable chess set. The roll-up board can be easily stored in your bag with the chess pieces. To my surprise, the pieces came with a pouch/carry case and have been playing with my friends as well as teaching my kids on this wonderful game. Great gift set and pieces are well weighted.

We have used these roll up boards and chess pieces in school for many years, and have just ordered more to meet the growing demand for chess. These sets are well-priced, easy to store and perfect for school tournament use as well as for casual games.

Very happy with the product. Nice quality and arrived within 2 days. Only downside was that the box wasn't glued properly on one side so I'll have to glue that together - not a big deal.

My second set for CW. The first was a gift to my nephew only single-weighted pieces. Love the double weighted pieces. They feel so much better when you play. The added stability is great when playing with my son who tends to move the board niw and then.
Would give 5 stars if the board was as pictured but it has a chess world logo on 2 corner squares. No biggie just wish I knew ahead.
