Your first chess clock, and for many players the only one they ever need. Each side gets its own time; press the lever after your move and your opponent's clock starts. It has every mode the dearer clocks have, from a plain countdown to bonus time after each move. One customer calls it a great clock for the money.

How to use

38 ready-made settings, plus one you can program yourself: plain countdown, bonus, delay, a limit on how many moves fit into a time, and staged times that change part way through a game. A bonus adds a few extra seconds to your clock before each of your moves, so a won game is not lost on the last second. A delay instead holds your clock still before it starts running down. Choose a setting number with plus and minus, or hold the middle button for three seconds to change anything. Two AA batteries, not included.

Leap chess clock

I'm very happy with my new Leap chess clock. It feels sturdy and the buttons clearly do what they are supposed to do. With just 3 buttons on the front, each button has several roles. In addition there are lots of ways of using the clock. This boils down to a steep learning curve for those, like me, who are new to chess clocks.
