Description

Gold against silver, in a mirror gloss. These are tall Staunton pieces in resin, polished so they reflect the board and catch every lamp in the room, with weight in the base so they stand firm and feel substantial. Made for a large board, where the height and the shine have room to work. The sides are obvious from across the room.

This one is ours. We curate it, and have it made in China by factories we have worked with for years.

Making our own is how we keep control of two things: what the product actually is, and what it costs. We choose the materials, the weighting and the finish, and we check what turns up. It is the reason our tournament gear and club sets are priced the way they are.

Care & maintenance

The pieces

The most forgiving material in our range.

Wipe with a damp cloth. Mild soap is fine for marks. Dry afterwards.
Do not use solvents, methylated spirits, acetone or abrasive cleaners. They dull or soften the surface.
Hand-painted and antiqued finishes should be wiped gently, never scrubbed.
Keep out of prolonged direct sunlight. Plastic and resin can yellow.
Keep the felt bases dry.
