These discs are sized to match the compact garden chess pieces, so the mat you already have does two jobs, and they are made from the same weatherproof plastic, so they live outside with the rest of the set. Care & setup outdoors

The pieces

Built for outdoors, so these are the exception to most of the rules above.

Hose them down, or wipe with a damp cloth and mild soap.
No solvents or abrasive cleaners.
Sunlight is fine. The plastic carries a UV-protective film.
If your pieces are weighted with water, empty them before long storage and before frost.
If weighted with sand, use dry sand and keep the cap closed.
Cover or store the set if it will not be used for months.
Check pieces stand level before play. Soft ground and long grass topple them.
