About the maker

This one is ours. We curate it, and have it made in China by factories we have worked with for years.

Making our own is how we keep control of two things: what the product actually is, and what it costs. We choose the materials, the weighting and the finish, and we check what turns up. It is the reason our tournament gear and club sets are priced the way they are.

Care & maintenance

Glass is non-porous, so it cleans more easily than stone.

Wipe with a damp cloth. A little mild dish soap is fine.
Dry with a lint-free cloth to avoid streaks.
Avoid abrasive pads and scouring powder. They scratch.
Lift pieces rather than sliding them. Glass chips at the edges.
Keep the felt bases dry.

I love chess sets, though am fussy about the ones I pick! This surprisingly attractive little set caught my eye, and has found a nice place on a bookshelf :)
