Description

A full-size board that lives on the table between games, with the pieces tucked away inside it. Slide a drawer out from either side, drop the pieces in, and the board is clear. The walnut finish is rich and traditional, with a fine decorative line around the squares, and it suits a dining room as well as a study.

The board

Dust with a soft, dry cloth, wiping along the grain.
Do not use detergents, solvents, spray polish or silicone furniture sprays.
Never let water sit on the surface. On veneered and inlaid boards it can lift the veneer.
Keep away from direct sunlight, heaters and air conditioning vents. Sun fades timber unevenly and dry heat can open joints.
Avoid big swings in humidity. Timber moves.
Store flat or upright and supported, not leaning against a wall.
On folding and storage boards, do not force hinges, latches or drawers.
Keep the felt bases dry.
