Giant Chess has been our speciality since 1999, when we first brought giant sets to Australia. They are made for us in China now, by the same factory we have worked with for years. Nobody in this country has been doing it longer.

These sets take a beating. They live outside, in Australian sun and Australian rain, at schools, clubs, councils, pubs and community events, and in decades of selling them we have had almost nothing come back. The plastic is tough, UV protected and genuinely kid proof. Twenty-five years of the same product, refined.

• Wipe with a barely damp cloth. Nothing else.
• No solvents or alcohol wipes.
• Roll or fold for storage, but store it loosely. Creases can become permanent if a board is folded hard or left weighted down.
• Keep out of direct sun and heat. Vinyl goes brittle.

The most forgiving material in our range.

• Wipe with a damp cloth. Mild soap is fine for marks. Dry afterwards.
• Do not use solvents, methylated spirits, acetone or abrasive cleaners. They dull or soften the surface.
• Hand-painted and antiqued finishes should be wiped gently, never scrubbed.
• Keep out of prolonged direct sunlight. Plastic and resin can yellow.
• Keep the felt bases dry.
