Description

The look of a wooden board, in a mat you can roll up. It is made from the same material as a computer mousepad. Roll it into a bag with your pieces and take it to club night. This board is our own, made for us by a factory we have worked with for years.

A firm grip on the table, so the board stays put through fast blitz
Dark brown and pale blond squares, framed by a thin gold line
Letters and numbers round every side, so each square can be named from either seat

Best for club players, and for anyone who travels with a set.

About the maker

The board

This one is ours. We curate it, and have it made in China by factories we have worked with for years.

Making our own is how we keep control of two things: what the product actually is, and what it costs. We choose the materials, the weighting and the finish, and we check what turns up. It is the reason our tournament gear and club sets are priced the way they are.

Care & maintenance

The board

These do not crease, which makes them the easiest boards to store and travel with.

Silicone: wash with warm water and mild dish soap, rinse, and air dry flat.
Mousepad boards: wipe with a damp cloth and mild soap, blot dry, air dry flat.
Do not machine wash hot, tumble dry or iron. Heat can separate the backing.
No solvents or bleach.
Silicone attracts dust and lint. A damp cloth or a lint roller sorts it.
Store rolled, not under heavy weight.

Wood grain mousepad chess board

I love this board it lays super flat and looks slick makes me look the coolest at chess club ?

[****]

A great board for when your travelling or don’t have the space or a proper wooden board.

The wood grain pattern is a nice touch . It folds down small but I wouldn’t leave it packed folded for a long time.
