Board had some marks out of unboxing (winkle/pinch marks) - also comes with branded squares which is not consistent with photos

Love this set. Very practical for home or school. This is the second one I've bought. It's just perfect for primary school children. Very durable. A reasonable price. The pieces are nicely finished. They look and feel great. (The first set i bought had single weighted pieces. The lighter ones actually feel nicer to me. The weight seems more natural. And they're probably safer if some kid decides to peg one at his mate across the room). The board is fantastic. Durable as. Easy to use - just flop it out on a desk and you've got a perfectly flat playing suface.

Chess World was a fantastic agency to do business with. The chess set arrived so quickly it was here within a couple of days. I've used this set to teach my youngest granddaughter how to play chess. The weighted pieces are a delight to move around and the roll up board is incredibly convenient. Great value and great pieces. Witthout a doubt, any further purchses relating to chess will be from Chess World.

I wish I had bought this set sooner!

This tournament chess set looks and feels great. I chose what I consider to be the more classic black and white color option. It has a way more luxurious and superior feel to the single weighted pieces and plastic coated folding board I have used in over the board competitions to date. I expected the silicone board to be thicker, but it sits perfectly flat without creases or bubbles and has a nice slightly grippy feel with the felt on the base of the pieces. The silicon board also does not slide about on the table surface once placed in play. The only improvement I can think of is to add a few more grams of weight to the bishop pieces as they feel a little light on relative to the other pieces.

This is a great product, best chess set I've ever used. The 95mm triple weighted Staunton chess pieces have a very good feel in the hand. The squares are very large and easy to see, making it easy to for young learners to differentiate. The rank and files are well numbered and marked. It's also very robust, I left it in the car and my son stepped on it getting out of the car and I was pleased that the mat didn't crease or rip. I have played a number of games on it and am impressed with the product. I want to order some more for a chess club at my son's school. My only quibble with the product is the large chess world logos on H1 and A8, I find them a bit distracting and would prefer they are not on the play area of the board. If I am paying for a premium product I don't really want branding on the area where the pieces at placed. Perhaps they can consider removing that in the future, or putting their logo somewhere else, the edge of the board for instance. All in all a good product, I recommend buying the green and cream colouring.

Silicone roll up mat does not crease of fold when in storage or being unpacked/packed away. It lays perfectly flat. The pieces are excellent. The weight is excellent. The two extra queens is great. The size of the board and the colour (green) is just great. It is an excellent chess set to play with. Great price.

Broke my ribs now home bound for a bit. I discovered my love for chess during this period. I bought this (on sale) and looks perfect. Pieces feel great also. I haven't played in decades and this makes me feel like a pro. Also I told the company about my accident plus my new love for chess and they gave me a free pen and notepad to learn how to do that. With a get well soon card included . These people are good people. They are worth your money. Thank you for a pleasant purchase.

The weight of pieces was good / solid and the board was grippy and without deformations like the vinyl ones.
