These are the final available Marrakesh Marvel Chess Pieces from Rex Noir original collection. Carved from solid Rosewood and Acacia, they are the last of their kind—made before exports of Rosewood to Australia were restricted.
Each piece is crafted in the traditional “magic ball” style, where the rounded base is carefully sculpted to resemble layered spheres—an ornamental design with roots in Cantonese and Indian woodcarving. The pieces are finished with intricate detailing throughout, making them as decorative as they are playable.
